Labor Day Weekend is upon us. There is nothing you can do to turn back the clock and wish Summer would go on longer, so snap out of it and enjoy the beautiful weather while you can! Here are our favorite picks for the weekend. We are sure there are many other things going on, but we tried to pick the top five things to do this weekend to help you focus!!
Where does the time go? TK’s Lounge at the Lost River Grill will be celebrating their 10th Anniversary this Sunday at 6pm. The Absolut-ly Happy Hour from 6-8pm featuring complimentary hors d’oeuvres, drink specials and a guest appearance by TK’s first Bartender, Miss Robin White. Then beginning at 8PM, it’s TK’s traditional End of Summer Party featuring Karaoke with Clink. They will be giving away prizes all night long, including certificates for free appetizers and limited edition commemorative t-shirts! For more info click HERE.
Four days of yoga, what else could you ask for this Labor Day Weekend? There are plenty of classes starting tomorrow morning through Monday. For more info and a description of the classes click HERE.
On Saturday from 10:00am to 2pm the Lost River Artisans Cooperative will be hosting a fundraiser for the Potomac Highlands Animal Rescue. There will be homemade dog treats, a raffle, a chance to visit with pets and Kathy’s famous pet-themed pot holders. Every year the Potomac Highlands Animal Rescue provides temporary shelter, food, medical attention and comfort to neglected, homeless, and injured animals and reunites lost animals with their owners or else seek new homes for them while also educating the public about the humane care of animals. They do all of that on a shoestring budget. They need our help, so stop by and help out if you can. For more info click HERE.
Before heading over to TK’s Lounge for their 10th Anniversary celebration on Sunday you need to stop by the opening reception from 3 to 5pm for local artist Kristen Colebank at the Guesthouse. Kristen lives in historic Wardensville WV and has has been recognized for her beautiful photo-realistic style of watercolor. The exhibit titled, ‘Extraordinary | Everyday’ features painting of everyday scenes in Wardensville WV. For more info click HERE.
